ANCIENT MYSTERIES
BURYING EGYPT'S TRUE HISTORY
Who Is Following the Evidence and Who is Not? By Scott Creighton
Could history be wrong? More specifically, could the story and purpose of the pyramids of ancient Egypt, as presented in numerous TV documentaries and countless academic books, be fatally flawed? Indeed, is there another plausible paradigm, with an entirely different narrative for interpreting these magnificent monuments?

UNSOLVED MYSTERIOUS
OAK ISLAND & THE MASONS
By Steven Sora
On a tiny island off the coast of Nova Scotia, a treasure hunt has been going on for an incredible 221 years. During that time it has drawn adventurers of all kinds, including Hollywood entertainers such as John Wayne and Errol Flynn, and even an American president-to-be, Franklin D Roosevelt. And now, an intriguing new theory regarding the origin of the notorious 'money pit' of Oak Island and involving eighteenth century Freemasons is causing a stir in some quarters. More on that shortly, but, first, here's the background.

FUTURE SCIENCE
BUCKY'S LEGACY
Why R. Buckminster Fuller's Great Vision for "Spaceship Earth" Lives On
BY SUSAN MARTINEZ & BIL BECKER
While still a young man, R. Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983) fell into despair after the failure of his building company and the death of his little daughter. He wanted to end it all.

THE UNEXPLAINED
TECHNOLOGIES OF THE ANIMALS
Could Morphic Resonance Solve the Mystery?
By William B. Stoecker
One of the greatest mysteries in the natural world is the amazing ability of certain animals to develop what can only be called technology, ranging from simple burrows and crude nests to the dams and canals built by beavers and the complex structures and the farming and ranching activities of some social insects. No conventional explanation for this is adequate--something is going on here that modern materialist/reductionist science cannot understand.

ANCIENT MYSTERIES
ANCIENT FIRE AND LIGHTNING
Could Solar Outbursts Once Have Scorched the Giza Plateau? By Robert M. Schoch, Ph.D.
While in Egypt this summer (2016), my colleagues Yousef Awyan and Mohamed Ibrahim pointed out to me a very curious phenomenon on the Giza Plateau, which I explored further. In places, particularly in the vicinity of the Second Pyramid and its "Mortuary Temple", the limestone bedrock is blackened and has a charred or burnt appearance, as if it had been subjected to incredibly high temperatures.

ALTERNATIVE NEWS
DID THE VIKINGS POSSESS ADVANCED NAVIGATION TECHNOLOGY?
Viking explorers made it to America long before Columbus. That is now widely accepted, but the navigational expertise that would have been required, has remained a mystery. The standard view has been that the Vikings must have been very good at using landmarks, birds, and whales, but little else. It has, however, long been believed by some, that the secret may have been something called a ‘sunstone,' a crystal which made it possible to accurately track the position of the sun, even in cloudy or foggy weather.

IS IT TIME TO WORRY ABOUT AN ICE AGE?
Trumpeted daily in the press, the claims by some scientists of an approaching catastrophic rise in earth temperatures--brought on by human activity--is seldom challenged. But, there remain respected researchers who think that changes in Earth's temperature, are more likely due to the Sun.

IMPOSSIBLE' MINERALS IN SIBERIAN MINE
The ancient alchemists looked for something called the philosopher's stone, which, it was said, could catalyze the transmutation of base metal, or lead, into gold--providing a bridge between the physical and the spiritual. Today, with excess carbon in the atmosphere considered by many to be one of the greatest threats to human survival, the search for minerals that could soak it up, seems a bit like a modern-day analog of the ancient quest. Such minerals, we now learn, though having been synthesized in the laboratory, had never been found in nature. Until now.

BIZARRE MINI-PLANET ORBIT BAFFLES SCIENTISTS
Another unexplained mystery from outer space has astronomers and astrophysicists scratching their heads. A tiny, previously unknown, planet (object) has been spotted moving through the solar system, but on a strange path which no one has been able to explain. Less than 125 miles across, the object has been called 'Niku', which in Chinese means "rebellious." It is traveling, say the experts, in a totally wrong direction.

WAS VENUS ONCE HABITABLE?
Future interplanetary tourists are more likely to choose Mars over Venus as a desirable destination, but in the very distant past, that may not have been the case. Venus today may be a scorching hell, there is new evidence that once upon a time it could have actually been quite habitable.

ALIEN MEGASTRUCTURE NOT YET RULED OUT
The mystery star is still blinking irregularly, and there is still no explanation as to why. The idea of an alien megastructure at work is still on the table.

ESP CONFIRMED BY NEW LAB STUDY
For those who have experienced it, the existence of extrasensory perception (ESP) is indisputable; but still, they may be pleased to learn, by way of our regular methods of communication, that maybe even hard science could be coming around. In a new peer reviewed study, "EEG correlates of social interaction at a distance" researchers at the University of Bucharest in Romania, showed that when the brains of close friends are electrically stimulated, there is a corresponding neural spike in the electrocardiogram of the subject.

PYRAMID RUINS DISCOVERED IN KAZAKHSTAN
In what are called the 'steppes' (mountain valleys) of Kazakhstan, a large previously unknown stone pyramid has just been discovered near the city of Karaganda. Researcher Victor Novozhenov says the structure is probably older than 3,000 years and is, he thinks, the work of the Begazy-Dandybai culture. Unlike the so-called Bosnian pyramid, which has drawn much attention in recent years, this one is indisputably man-made, and resembles Egypt's Step pyramid, in both size and structure.

IS ARTHUR'S PALACE AT TINTAGEL?
As Atlantis Rising reported in Issue 119, the ruins of King Arthur's Camelot are believed to have been found, but, whereas Graham Phillips wrote for us they are in Shropshire, a brand new archaeological case is being made for Arthur's birthplace at the fortress at Tintagel in Southwest Cornwall. Thanks to the writings of Geoffrey of Monmouth, the place is already a favorite with tourists.

HAS VISUAL SUPER POWER ARRIVED?
Describing higher consciousness has always been difficult. Comparisons have been made to the challenge of explaining color to a colorblind person who may doubt the reality of what he cannot personally experience. Now, we are asked to consider the case of a British woman who can see 99 million more colors than the rest of us.

LOST HISTORY
SHINING CITY ON A HILL
Was America What Francis Bacon Had in Mind?
By Thomas Dietrich
Medieval European Crusaders who traveled to Constantinople, Cairo, and Jerusalem established a renewed interest in Old Testament stories especially the legends of the Temple of Solomon and King David's friend, the Phoenician King Hiram.

ANCIENT AMERICA
ANCIENT MYSTERIES IN MID-AMERICA
Strange History Is Everywhere If You Know Where to Look
By Frank Joseph
Less than a two-hour drive from Chicago, a lonely boulder perched atop a steep-sided hill overlooks thousands of daily commuters speeding by on the expressway below from their suburban homes to jobs in the big city and back again each day. Absorbed in the mundane affairs of modern survival, they are oblivious to the magical monolith that still points its unchanging finger at the sky, just as it did centuries before the suburbanites' forebears came to northern Illinois.

UNSUNG HEROES
THE REDEMPTION OF ROYAL RAYMOND RIFE
Could the Long-Delayed Era of Electromagnetic Healthcare Be Re-Emerging?
By Jeane Manning
In July in Idaho, well-known inventor and audio engineer John Bedini disclosed the principles of operation for a "Bedini-Rife-Priore device"--a working system based on his own discoveries and on two past successful machines. Physicist Tom Bearden had added a further key concept.

THE OTHER SIDE
QUEST FOR THE LIFE FORCE
Has Science Found It and Then Ignored It?
By Michael Tymn
It may very well have been the most important discovery in the history of mankind--a "life principle" that permeates and connects all living things. What German chemist Baron Karl von Reichenbach (1788-1869) called odic force, or just od or odyle, was likened to the 'prana' of the ancient Hindus, the 'vis medicatrix naturae' of Hippocrates, the 'mana' of Polynesian culture, the 'chi' of the Chinese, the 'astral light' of the Kabbalists, the 'telesma' of Hermes Trismegistus, and the 'magnetic fluid' of Mesmer.

SECRETS IN YOUR HAND
Could Science Be Catching Up with Ancient Wisdom?
By Erin Rose
Did you know that the length of your fingers can predict your social behavior, scholastic ability, and sexual orientation? Would you believe that an analysis of your palms can diagnose genetic disorders, medical conditions, and even estimate the length of your life? It's true. What was once considered fortune telling is increasingly becoming mainstream science.

PUBLISHER'S LETTER
SCIENCE AND THE FORGERY FACTOR
By J. Douglas Kenyon
The very cold case of the Piltdown Man forgery has, we are led to believe, been solved at last, scientific embarrassment notwithstanding. The perpetrator of one of the greatest frauds in scientific history has now been fingered. In August, 2016, the journal "Royal Society Open Science," revealed the results of a recent special forensic investigation. At long last, they have found their man.

DISSENTING OPINION
3D PROOF OF STONE CIRCLE ALIGNMENTS
Archaeologist Dr. Gail Higginbottom, the project leader and University of Adelaide Visiting Research Fellow, used a 3D Landscaping Model software package developed in South Australia to prove that the stone monuments do not only align with the sun and moon but also the shapes on the horizon.

THE FORBIDDEN ARCHAEOLOGIST
RESPONDING TO A CRITIC IN RUSSIA
By Michael Cremo
In a recent YouTube video, Alexander Sokolov, a Russian science writer, made some negative comments about my book "Forbidden Archeology", in which I document archeological evidence for extreme human antiquity. A reader of mine in Russia translated Sokolov's remarks from Russian to English, sent them to me, and asked what I had to say. I normally do not reply to every critic. If I did, I would have no time for anything else. But in this case I made an exception.

ASTROLOGY
JUPITER IN LIBRA
Can the sky god tip the scales toward justice? By Julie Loar
On September 9, 2016, Jupiter entered the cardinal air sign of Libra, at the midpoint of two powerful eclipses.
